I visited Middlesbrough on a cold, but sunny, day in January 2003. I was staying Bradford and when I arrived in York, there was a replacement bus because of rail work. I was early so no problem. I arrived well in time before the game. After a lunch and a couple of pints I headed to the stadium to buy my ticket. 

James Beattie had put Soton 2-0 upafter 60 min, but Boro came back to level the score. The trip back took its time, but Riverside was ticked off.
