Game watched: MK Dons 2-1 AFC Wimbledon

The third of three games during a hectic 2012 weekend. I had stayed for two nights in Milton Keynes going down to London on the previous day. This was a 12.30 kickoff so around 11.30, I took a designated bus from one of the central pubs to get to the stadium.

This was the first meeting between MK Dons and AFC Wimbledon so there was a lot of security around the game. People who had bought tickets through MK Dons from out-of-town were placed in a neutral area in the Northwest corner of the ground.

MK Dons took the lead on halftime through a 30-yard screamer from Stephen Gleeson, but Wimbledon equalised quite early in the second half only to lose it in overtime by a heel flick from the full back Jon Otsemobor. The attendance 16,459 was by far the best at stadium mk that season.

After the game, I took the train up to Manchester Airport to fly home the following day via three airports.
