Main Kop was closed which explains the very poor atmosphere from the United fans, Carabao cup affair between Sunderland. United dominated the opening 10 however Sunderland scored an absolute screamer which flattened United for the whole game. Sunderland fans were very lively the whole game and fair play to them for making the long trip down on a cold Wednesday night. Must be cursed as I supported Sheffield during this game and they lost and then visited the next month and they won despite my supporting Arsenal throughout the whole 90 mins.

Another game I visited was a month later against my beloved Arsenal. Was behind enemy lines in the Kop and was a tense game throughout. Despite an Arsenal loss and the heartbreak that continued throughout the night alongside my fellow Arsenal flatmate bro, it was a really good game and even better atmosphere. 'Greasy Chip Butty' hands down the best original atmosphere that i've ever experienced at a game in my life. Arsenal at least deserved one goal but Sheffield United played like warriors and definitely was not upset to lose to a team full of battlers. Grinded out a 1-0 win in the cold, monday night. Most solid defence i've seen in the top leagues. MOTM split between Lyt Mousset and Enda Stevens of which both are criminally underrated. Unpopular opinion but Sheffield United more than deserve a place in Europe... even the Champions League. Always shed a tear to compare Scunthorpe and Sheffield as clubs as the reds grind wins against proven PL teams where Scunthorpe struggle against the likes of Newport and Macclesfield in the dredges in League Two but wouldn't change it for the world. More than proud for the Utd fans especially my flatmate however can't help but be hugely jealous of their success compared to the Iron. Bramall Lane cannot be more recommended to groundhoppers/avid football fans x
