Game watched: Bradford City 2-1 MK Dons

I had already been to Valley Parade in 2002 and watched a hapless Bantams side lose 5-0 to Sheffield United. This was a more positive game for them. I had come down on the train from Newcastle around noon, located what would become my favorite hotel in North England (combination of low price and excellent communications). I visited Valley Parade already in the afternoon to get a ticket. I managed to get into the stadium to take a few pictures with the assistance of two stewards preparing for the game. The ticket office were busy selling tickets for the FA cup game against Sunderland, which was to be played on Saturday, but I got my senior ticket for the MK Dons game for £14.

Dele Alli broke the deadlock in the second half after Jordan Pickford in the Bantams goal had miskicked, but goals from Billy Clarke and James Hanson made up for his error. Near the end, Pickford did a fine save to deny MK Dons the equaliser. Despite the loss, MK Dons won automatic promotion at the end of the season and Bradford City finished 7th.
