BurnSand visited Pirelli Stadium on 01/10/2016

Game watched: Burton Albion 2-0 Cardiff City

I arrived at 11 on Saturday morning having spent the night in Liverpool. I had lunch at a Frankie & Benny's and then located my hotel northeast of the station. By then, it had started to rain and I had to put on my full rain gear, jacket and pants, before walking up to the stadium to pick up my ticket and get standing room in the Raygar (North) stand. Pirelli Stadium was my 66th league ground.

The Bluebirds were a disppointment and Burton sealed their third Championship victory in game No. 11. Jackson Irvine and Lucas Akins scored the two goals, one in each half.

The day after, the rain had stopped and it was quite a pleasant walk down to the station to take the train to Birmingham International to fly home to Sweden.
