Game watched: Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 Wigan Athletic

My first venture out of inner Sheffield since joining Sheffield Hallam Uni and the first time buying tickets for a team that isn't called Scunthorpe United. Me and my flatmate's day out which was a solid week of planning. Got an Uber to the ground which was risky business due to potential hellish traffic but turned out to be a risk that pulled off amazingly. Very old school ground looking from the outside and the inside too. Managed to get tickets in the Kop which was a good achievement and the view from our seats were top notch. First time watching Wigan that season and could tell from the way they were playing that they were in major trouble, however Sheff Wed dominated all game and deserved all game. Has to be said that they were a class above Wigan. The away support for Wigan was piss poor despite them only being the other side of the Peak District however the Wednesday fans were very vocal throughout the game. Great goal by Wed in the second which was more than enough to seal the 3 points. Didn't make things complicated for themselves either, Garry Monk has well and truly sorted the team out and they can reach playoffs if they stick to their game plan. Traffic getting out of Hillsborough wasn't great but me and Brad were also celebrating Scunthorpe and Arsenal wins as well as a Dortmund comeback. For me it was an amazing day for football
