Game watched: Fleetwood Town 4-1 Burton Albion

League ground No 86 on an October Saturday. I was staying in Bradford for four nights so I took a Day return to Blackpool North. At Halifax a bunch of Hudds supporters stepped onboard as they had an early kickoff in Blackburn.

In Blackpool I had lunch and a couple of pints at a Wetherspoon before boarding the tram up to Fleetwood. It was quite a memorable ride with the sea outside for about two thirds of the ride. It was a short walk to the ground from the closest tram stop. At the ground I picked up my pre-ordered ticket and went inside about an hour before kickoff. A friendly steward informed me where the stadium bar was situated and I had an enjoyable time in there before the game.

Ched Evans gave the home side the lead after 38 minutes against the run of play and helped by some dreadful defending. Burton managed to equalize through Oliver Sarkic before half-time. The second half belonged to Fleetwood's Paddy Madden, yes he's Irish, who scored a hat trick to establish the final 4-1 scoreline. The atmosphere at the game was better than expected with both teams supporters being quite vocal for a 3,000 attendance.

After the game, it was back to Blackpool and then Bradford for another night there.
