Game watched: Tranmere 0-6 Manchester United

United away at tinpot clubs is often a joke in terms of ticketing and stewarding - neither were a problem today. Maybe the short turn around was the reason. A decent enough ground, not too modern, but good enough. The away end was rustic enough to be enjoyable and contain the atmosphere. The queues for Magners or Fosters were long, but I wasn't having any of that shit. Seeing the rooves and chimneys of nearby housing peak up over the back of adjacent stands is a throw back to a time before industrail park stadiums or the mega structures of the Premier League. Watching the whisping smoke spiral and flit upward is as romantic as I can get with United. Just a shame it was on Merseyside, but alas, we stuffed their tosser of a keeper with six goals and all the scousers here for an upset went home upset.
