Game watched: Northampton Town 2-0 Scunthorpe United

Ticket office - very friendly staff. I'm a wheelchair user, so they arranged a good seat for both me and my husband. Much to my surprise, my husband's ticket was free as a carer! They also made sure I was well away from the away fans because of the rivalry between Doncaster Rovers and Scunthorpe. Parking was also arranged then, and they were able to get me a Blue Badge spot, which I pre-paid at the club shop.

On arrival at the stadium, the steward taking names looked a bit confused about where our spot was meant to be, but it was practically in front of us! Oh well.

The turnstile stewards were great - had a laugh with us and made sure we knew what was going on.

Food kiosk, excellent. I think the fact that the alcohol was sold in a different area made things quicker, and once again, very friendly staff. The food itself wasn't too bad, or too badly priced - both my husband and I had cheese and onion pasties, although my husband had to finish mine because it was a bit too big for me. We also had a coffee (him) and a hot chocolate (me), and stirrers were provided.

The match itself was exciting, with a Scunthorpe sending off in the first half and two Northampton goals in the second.

It was quite tricky to see the clock or the score, because the big screen was at the end of the stand we were in, and there wasn't one opposite it for those facing the other way. This was helped a bit by the announcer telling us the goal times.

The matchday music was a bit overpowering, though, and it was sometimes difficult to hear the announcer over the tannoy but nowhere near as some other stadiums.

I'd definitely go to Sixfields again.
