Game watched: Brentford 1-2 Norwich City

Very fortunate to have a friend who works there in the Ops team, so got shown around the venue (into the hospitality spaces etc). Also was near the team busses when the NCFC team arrived. Ground looked immaculate (new this season). Nice cafe for brunch around the corner, plus a pub and train station on the doorstep. First half Norwich were exceptional, second half got nervy but we got the win in what turned out to be a dagger to the heart as Daniel Farke’s last game in charge. Honour to be there, but as hadn’t made it home by the time they made the announcement, it soured the whole experience. Especially as the first win of the season and the amount of scrutiny and pelters we had been getting from the media, who failed to acknowledge starting against 4 of the best sides as a newly promoted side stacks the odds against you. But we did win and the first half performance was one of the best I had seen in the Prem and poss even the Farke era. Shame it had to end. Parked in B&Q via my parking space app. Real easy!
