Game watched: Aston Villa 3-0 Ncastle United

It was a 04.45 alarm to start our match day adventure today.  Me & my son were met by two of our friends for a 06.30 drive down to Aston Villa, the game having a 12.30 kick off time due to being televised on BT Sport.  Anyway the drive down was fine & there were no real problems.  Once we had parked the car we headed off to the pub where the Newcastle United fans were meeting up.  The pub was called the Whitten Arms, unlike Newcastle City center pubs on match days, they deem charging both home & away fans £3.00 each to gain entry!!! A fair cop. Even the home supporters think this is a joke so they have a drink on the outside of  the localTesco next door. The game for us was quite forgettable, going in at half time only one down when it could have been 4.

It did not improve after the break, it's the worst performance I have seen Newcastle produce since Eddie Howe took charge of the team.  We ended up loosing the game 3 - 0 and it could have been 6.  Aston Villa fully deserved the 3 points, we were just not good enough in any department, it's as simple as that!!!

On the way back to the car we saw a punch up with a taxi driver & an Asda delivery driver, we have no idea what started it, we were just gob smacked.  We got back to the car and set off for home, again no real problems on the long journey back home.  Only our pride took a bashing after what we had watched for 90 odd minutes.  Hay Ho! We will be back for our next game v Spurs at home!!!!
