Game watched: Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Norwich City

Stayed at Worcester overnight so shorter journey. Parking was easy, spot in one of the industrial estates about a 20 minute walk out. Went and saw the Sir Jackie Walker statue, the fanzone area and ‘Alan Shearer Way’ sign. There was supposed to be an away fanzone too but didn’t see one and guess it wasn’t needed in February plus away fans were mixing in the home one anyway. Pie and a pint pre game in concourse with 6N rugby on the phone. Game was okay, home crowd were a bit quiet, drew 1-1 when we should have won. Fassnacht guilty of a couple of guilt edged chances. Equally Gunn did two miraculous saves. Easy getting out of the ground and 20 min walk back to car. Then easy to get back onto the motorway and drive to Wigan for the Rugby League World Club Challenge match. Not part of Blackburn story, but at the final whistle in the rugby league, there was a TMO decision which came back at no try to Penrith Panthers which meant Wigan won and the old boy next to us pulled out a half eaten cooked sausage from his pocket, waved it in the direction of where the try had been disallowed performing some kind of gesture with it, then chucked it in his mouth and took a bite. I know they are the pie eaters but this is different level!
