Game watched: Wolves 1-2 Manchester United

Wolves have been in and out of the Premier League in the last decade. Molineux's redevelopment began in 1979 when the club built the impressive John Ireland Stand (now called the Steve Bull Stand). Sadly the club had big problems after that and the rest of the stadium was left in a terrible state until the early 1990s. The other 3 sides of the ground were finally rebuilt turning it into a modern 29,000+ stadium. This redevelopment has started again with the Stan Cullis Stand behind the goals being rebuilt last season. There are plans to eventually transform the stadium into a 50,000 capacity, depending on finances and the clubs league status. This will be done in 4 possible phases. Phase 1 having already been done. Away fans at Molineux used to get either the Steve Bull lower tier, which runs along the side of the pitch, giving the club around 2500 tickets or the smaller allocation in the Jack Harris Stand behind the goal. The layout of the Steve Bull away section always made it difficult for away fans to make noise, as they were spread out in the small numbers of rows, across the side of the pitch. Away fans now go in the upper tier of the new Stan Cullis Stand.

I always street parked at Molineux, about 15 minutes walk away. There are a few places for food and drink around the ground, including a big supermarket next to the stadium.
