Game watched: Bury 0-3 Manchester United

Gigg Lane was redeveloped in stages in the 1990s and is a decent stadium for a club the size of Bury. The club have been helped by other teams using the stadium too, like Swinton Rugby Club, Manchester United Reserves and since 2005 FC United of Manchester.

I've always driven to Gigg Lane and street parked about 10 minutes away, with no problems. There is a good pub near the ground called The Swan and Cemetery on Manchester Road. The centre of Bury is about 15 minutes walk from the ground. The Manchester Metrolink has a station in the centre of Bury which is useful to get a tram back into Manchester City Centre after the match. There are plenty of pubs and places to eat in the centre of Bury.
