Blackpool FC did not allocate a large enough number of tickets to Leeds United due to taking far to long to redevelop away end. Leeds fans naturally bought tickets in the Blackpool end and a fight broke out. Leeds fans in away end were penned in which could have caused a huge crush. Poorly thought out by Blackpool FC, its stewards and Lancashire police.
