CRob79 visited White Hart Lane on 05/09/1992

Game watched: Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Everton

White Hart Lane has changed a lot since I started visiting back in 1992. Throughout all the developments the Lane has never lost any of its character. In fact character has been added and it has some unique features - like the 'alien' (CCTV hub) that sits high up in the south stand. The jumbotron screens built in to the north and south stands also give the ground a great feel. Perched above everything, of course, is the cockerel on the East Stand. The atmosphere inside the ground can be amazing - especially for evening games. There is one downside. Access to the stadium isn't great - it's quite a walk from Seven Sisters station. A lot of people don't seem to realise that the easiest way to the ground from central London is via an overground train from Liverpool Street. On match days there a loads of trains and if you get off at White Hart Lane train station you're only 2 minutes from the ground.
