Game watched: Chelsea 0-1 Manchester United

Stamford Bridge is best reached on the London Underground at Fulham Broadway station, which is a short walk from the stadium. Stamford Bridge, in phases had a huge overhaul in the first 10 years of the Premier League and with the exception of the very impressive Main Stand is very different to how it used to be. This is especially the case behind the goals, which used to be mostly open terraces quite a way from the pitch behind a track. The newer stands are very close to the pitch now, as Chelsea make every possible use of the limited space available on the site. Away fans in recent seasons have been moved from the full lower tier of the main stand to both tiers of the Shed End behind the goals and this provides a great view for fans. Prices for tickets there and for food and drinks inside the ground are high though, reflecting modern day top flight football in London. Chelsea have been looking at various options to move away from Stamford Bridge to a bigger stadium.
