Luzhniki2008 visited Cardiff City Stadium on 24/11/2013

Game watched: Cardiff City 2-2 Man Utd

This was my first visit to this new stadium. I had visited Cardiff's Millennium Stadium for all of Manchester United's matches there in the 2000s. Cardiff is a fantastic city. We parked near the SWALEC Stadium (cricket ground) which was less than 10 minute walk into the centre of Cardiff and had food and drinks there. It was then a 20 minute walk to the Cardiff City Stadium from there (15 minutes walk from the cricket ground where we parked).

This stadium is similar to most modern new build stadiums and the facilities for fans inside it are very good. The downside is always the loss of the history and atmosphere of grounds like Ninian Park unfortunately. Cardiff have firm plans to develop this stadium further which is good to see.

Getting away after the match, after the 15 minutes walk back to the car, there was no traffic (it was a Sunday night) and we were out of the city quickly an soon back on the M4 motorway.
