Game watched: Newcastle United 3-0 Ipswich

As any young male who wants to play Football professionally, they always want to be Upfront in the Number 9 role. I too had that very dream. When i was younger, Alan Shearer was that Number 9 for Newcastle United. And so began a sheltered version of Supporting a Player rather than a team. When he eventually retired, i found that i wasn't in love with the game because I'd always watched it on the tele and never appreciated the football atmosphere. I started supporting Ipswich Town in 2008 and haven't looked back since. Although atm sticking with the Toon wouldn't of been a bad thing given how Ipswich are currently playing. Having only ever been to Newcastle for Shopping years ago, and their relegation last season, this season i had to go! I had originally planned to go with my mate, who took me to my first Ipswich game but due to hims not get a baby sitter, i took my Sister along with me. Taking an asthmatic to a Stadium where the only access to the Away end is to walk up flights of stairs similar to Wembley, sounds a stupid task but thankfully the stewards allowed us to use the lift. And what a view. Not for the faint hearted thats all i will say. 1nil down within the opening minute of the game is not how you want to start any game. It finished 3-0. Newcastles class showed throughout the game. Definitely a class above anything the Championship has to offer. A little honourable mention, both sets of fans joined together to honour legendary manager of both teams, Sir Bobby Robson. Very touching. A very good Away game that i came away not feeling as disappointed as i should have
