Game watched: Blackpool 2-3 Portsmouth

Brilliant day, our first away victory for quite a while, and what a victory it was! Thrilling game which will forever live in my memory. Blackpool is a very nice place, the ground is close to the promenade and therefore the beaches, the piers and the famous Blackpool Tower. We had good weather for it too, nice and sunny, which made us appreciate more the atmosphere around the town. The ground itself, despite appearing very modern and boring, was actually quite smart once inside - very tight, which would have made for quite the atmosphere had the situation with the owners/home fans been different, and I think it had a bit of character to it. The stewards were very helpful, friendly and a laugh to talk to, before and after the game. One thing to be said however is that the programme on offer was awful. £2 seemed a bargain until you realised that it was in fact small, poorly made and had probably the same impact as a takeaway leaflet. Nonetheless, a class day!
