Game watched: Rotherham United 2-0 Scunthorpe United

I'll never forgive this lot for what they did to us. Scraped playoffs in the 2017/18 season, was the 2nd leg of the playoff. Both teams going into the game with 2 goals, the euphoria I had that day btw was better than any drug. Short trip to the small South Yorkshire town and saw the Scunthorpe players walk into the ground as our coach rolled into the vicinity of the ground. Decent ground and they had a decent team as well, but our players definitely could've pushed them to their best. Game kicked off, both sets of fans in very optimistic points. The Iron faithful believed they went 1-0 up through Duane Holmes I believe (no footage of this, just from memory) however the linesman raised his flag for offside... gutted was one word to describe that feeling. Playing well and giving it a go, heartbreak struck as their centre half rose like a salmon to nod the ball past Watson who had a very good game. Head in hands for a solid 5 mins... definitely a lot of the way through half time. The wind had been knocked out of us which was clear to show, McArdle the captain got a second yellow and was sent in the direction of the tunnel... in fairness looking back with a level head it was the correct decision. Then, Will Vaulks struck it home in front of the Kop... knocking us out of the playoffs. Still devastated 2 years on. Long drive home to say the least.
