At the peak of following the Iron, went with my Dad, brother and Tom. I was staying up for the weekend there anyways and thought 'feck it may as well'. Game kicked off and in the first 10 mins was the most blatant penalty I have ever seen and would possibly ever see however the ref was backing out the Mackem shirt and it was not given. Fuming at this point, Sunderland add the misery compiler and score just to rub salt in the wound. After this, not much happened other than 2 goals by Sunderland. Game was over and it was one to forget for the Iron... very poor on the day however the Sunderland team at the time were miles ahead than ours
