14th May 2007 Shrewsbury Town 0-0 Milton Keynes Dons. The final game at the ground was the first leg of the League 2 play off semi final, which finished in a goalless draw with MK Dons. The Shrews did win the away leg 2-1 but didn’t start life at the new Meadow in League 1 losing 3-1 in the final at Wembley to Bristol Rovers. The last league match at the ground was a 2-2 draw with Grimsby, with Nick Fenton’s equaliser for the visitors the last competitive goal at the ground.
