14th May 2007 Shrewsbury Town 0-0 Milton Keynes Dons. The final game at the ground was the first leg of the League 2 play off semi final, which finished in a goalless draw with MK Dons. The Shrews did win the away leg 2-1 but didnt start life at the new Meadow in League 1 losing 3-1 in the final at Wembley to Bristol Rovers. The last league match at the ground was a 2-2 draw with Grimsby, with Nick Fentons equaliser for the visitors the last competitive goal at the ground. Defender Kelvin Langmead was the last Shrewsbury Town scorer.

We watched Wycombe draw 1:1 at Gay Meadow, then play the shrews again at The Meadow, then the Prostar Stadium. In the final game, amusingly the ref/linesman awarded us a goal that us fans behind the net could see had not crossed the line. I joked about it with Breakfast Bill Turnbull as we left the stand :) Good to see him attending away games too.
