Drove down with Gemma, Phill and Bully. Lovely sunny day. FGR ground in a beautiful location, literally next to a load of fields. Stunning. Didn't have any of the vegan food, but did drink their cider haha!

Visited the ground on a warm dry league game against relegation threatened Forest Greennan promotion chasing Barnsley. First of all the ground is a nightmare to get there by public transport. Driving to nearby Nailsworth is not much better as the ground is up a very steep hill over a mile away from the nearest parking places / pubs - food. The ground sadly lacks any character or atmosphere. I did not eat at the ground other than chips but my wife really rated the vegi burger. The beer (real ale) was local and enjoyable but could only have the one (driving). very little atmosphere and was similar to going to a non league venue.

Home fans horrendous, away fans standing 8 rows deep crammed in only 1 bar on the front row.
No beer vegan food knows the middle of nowhere on the top of a mountain worst away day ever

1st and hopefully the last time I ever have to visit these Vegan lovers. This ground is everything I hate about football Away Days. The ground is situated in a village an hours walk away. Because I don't drive and the buses and taxis were non existent I decided to walk there and back, my feet did not thank me for it. Train was cancelled on the way back as well which was a ball ache. Glad we won

We got to the area and made up of the park and ride which definitely saved a very long walk up a very long hill. Good value for £3 although the sign says £5 so unsure on that one. Went to the fan area outside before the game. Ran out of lager very quickly, around 1.50, even though they were fully aware of the 1200 members of the green army on their way. Female toilets had great access to free sanitary products which I was very impressed with. Food was all vegan which was expected. Tried the vegan pasty because y’know, when in Rome! Wasn’t great and should have gone for the safe chips! No alcohol served inside the ground due to inability to drink without being in view of the pitch which some people were not happy with, especially with the lack of beer outside. Away area is very narrow, long and uncovered, making it difficult for the normally very strong green army to produce much noise. It is open to the elements so be prepared for that! Road back out of the ground was heaving after the game. Got the park and ride back to the carpark. We arrived back at our car about an hour after the end of the game. Was fairly straight forward to get back onto the M5 after that. Overall a good day out, with a 3-0 to boost, and I’m glad that I’ve been but I won’t be in a hurry to return!
